Born 1961 in Nice (France), he lives in Sète (France).
Originally a composer, Céleste Boursier-Mougenot has moved on to explore the spatialisation and visualisation of sound. A recent project, vidéodrones, makes it possible to literally hear the sound of images. The artist is currently working on a new series entitled Schizoframe based on a set-up which matches listening and the visual dimension in a way that actively involves the viewer.
At les Abattoirs – Musée frac Occitanie Toulouse Céleste Boursier-Mougenot is presenting a new version of Schizoframe with a specific space where visitors will be immersed in a visual and aural environment.
