ED KUEPPER's MFLL
Video installation — Jardin Raymond VI

Ed Kuepper, one of the "godfathers" of punk (The Saints, Laughing Clowns and others), is embarking on an unprecedented adventure, surrounded by artists from all over the world. Their mission: to create a purely physical interface between live music with explosive acoustics and large-scale video projections. Inspired by Len Lye's experimental films, they use cutting-edge but also "primitive" technologies and processes to merge sound and image into astonishing and powerful synchronicities. When music and moving image meet and mingle, they don't just 'illustrate' each other, as they sometimes do in music videos: a reality emerges that is both haunting and tangible, a unique effect that only the conditions of a live concert could produce.
