Or Press Escape
Performance — Auditorium Saint-Pierre des Cuisines

A woman sits in front of a computer, from behind, somewhere in Western Europe. She is a stranger to her surroundings, isolated and invisible. On the screen of her computer, projected on a large scale, the spectator discovers snippets of her past life and her present choices, her hesitations, her desires and her solitude. Like an open window on the character, the computer reveals his life, little by little. Despite its form, Or Press Escape is above all a play, a long silent monologue of great dramatic intensity. We follow in detail the character's thought processes, his doubts, his associations of ideas, his moods. Through the strong presence of the performer, yet reduced to her only silent shadow, the somewhat oppressive isolation of this character becomes more and more sensitive.
