Uri Tzaig

Born 1965 in Israel, he lives and works in Tel Aviv (Israel).

Avi Shaham
Born in Israel, he lives and works in Tel Aviv.

In terms of his modes of expression, Uri Tzaig has moved gradually from work with single, intimate manufactured objects to the use of video, writing and photography and installation. In his work, geometry takes precedence over geography. He questions the limits on freedom of movement. In his own particular way, he is trying to find how to square the circle, or at least to reconcile circle and square.

Invited to do a special project for the Château d'Eau, Uri Tzaig is working in Toulouse with the sculptor Avi Shaham, with whom he created the installations You are most welcome and Master Lucas in 2002.
