As the outcome of a fruitful cooperation between White Light (the Matt Clark and Jeremy Lemos duo) and Lichens (Rob Lowe, who played with 90 Day Men and TV on the Radio), White/Lichens is a musical project that is as powerful as it is unusual. The “Ambient” world, imbued with Rob Lowe's spirituality, brings in Jermey Lemos's acoustic experiments based on drones and feedback. The former's vocal improvisations are allied with the latter's sensitive guitar playing. The result is long hypnotic acoustic passages, with a contained wildness about them. During their particularly intense live performances, the duo involves the audience in nothing less than a trip outside reality.
