Born in 1971 in Constantine (Algeria), he lives in Berlin.

Between desire and death, legality and illegality, individuality and political corpus, tradition and contemporaneity, East and West, this migrant artist makes use of video, photography, sculpture and drawing to challenge the political and cultural boundaries of Muslim and western societies. His poetic works advocate the emancipation of bodies and minds freed from globalization and ideologies: “Capsizing perspectives, getting away from the commonplace, and opening doors giving onto a new reality—one of pleasure and desire”.

Habibi skeleton hovers over the central area of the museum.
