The exhibition 1-1 = 2 brings together a dozen works that have in common that they evoke phenomena of disappearance, most of which concern the artist's own body. All means are good for disappearing: magic, flight, sleep, confinement, jumping, replacement or fiction. Who hasn't dreamed of becoming the invisible man? Disappearing, then reappearing with a simple gesture. To take advantage of this absence to commit all sorts of unmentionable crimes, to spy on the gesticulating world or even to cut oneself off for a moment from the noise of useless conversations. This exhibition is a tribute to Gino de Dominicis and Bas Jan Ader, who built their work with the aim of disappearing ... and who ended up doing so!
