The work of Franck David is articulated like an enigma without an apparent narrative whose modus operandi could be summed up in the image of the jigsaw puzzle. What dominates in his approach is not so much an interest in details and fragments as the necessarily uncertain, tentative process of searching. Each exhibition, including DIFFERENT COLORS MADE OF TEARS, becomes an opportunity to articulate already existing pieces with new productions in order to maximise the expansion of his images and objects, which he often takes from everyday life (beauty spots, rose thorns, butterfly wings, etc.).

Echoing A Form for Every Kind of Action, the Maison des Arts is inviting the artist to produce a performance at Cajarc, while one of his films will be presented in the festival itinerary around Toulouse.

Maison des Arts Georges Pompidou, Cajarc: 10 October–24 December 2010
Private opening of exhibition and performance by franckDavid: Saturday 9 October at 6 pm.
