Born in 1977 in Belgium, he lives and works in Germany.
Lucile Desamory made her artistic debut in 1997 with Crachat, a short slapstick film, ten moved on to minimalist horror films such as Vampires (1999) and L’infirmière cannibale (2000), before trying her hand at animation. She collaborates regularly with other artists, and notably in performances with the explosive musician Kevin Blechdom and the video artist Luke Fowler. Lucile Desamory also makes collages. Her very precise works combine materials that she chooses for their psychic, historical or sexual properties. In particular, she likes to use fabric in the form of large embroidered tableaux exploiting its ability to suggest human flesh, hair and physical presence.
Lieu-Commun is showing three of her compositions.
