Alone sees language as the only thing that distinguishes humans from animals. Everyday she sets out to look for people to talk to, unaware that in her absence the objects in her living room are holding forth with metaphysical discourses and that, thanks to the bottle-opener, they reveal their most intimate amorous experiences. Le Salon d’Alone uses a unique mix of slide projections, opera, pop and psychedelic rock to get objects speaking in the first person.
