ZA!

There's something anachronistic about ZA! The way these two boys dress and look might add to that impression but it is mainly a question of attitude. A punk attitude, or "alternative" a term we would have deemed appropri- ate to use in the 90's. A willingness to mix influences and to retain only the pleasure of playing, in a raw and childish way. With various percussion instruments, guitars, trumpets and vocals, the two Spaniards from ZA! are not only “playing music” they are playing with traditional rock and roll codes and practices extracting its pure ecstatic substance.
