Reading of Béatrice Cussol

Reading of Béatrice Cussol for the publication of her novel Ecrire ou partir followed by her monograph Eponyme

Béatrice Cussol continues her poetic epic and proposes a novel or rather an open writing experience where the critique of the novel led her. The cruel strangeness of the artist’s plastic work finds its implacable echo here, in an epic that distorts and sharpens the writing of her deconstructed language.
After Merci (2000), Pompon (2001), Diane? (2003), Sinon (2007) and Les Souffleuses (2009), Béatrice Cussol returns to the experimental novel. Each sentence contributes to this in its disturbing unpredictability, curious improprieties, slippages, dislocations, displacements that disturb it, giving to the language a glib lesson of contemporaneity and an ironic twist that vaporizes the story. Here everything is devious, unstable, neological, adventurous, listening to the repressed like the angers.
Ecrire ou partir was published by Le Printemps de septembre.
