Pierre Mercier

Born in 1946, he lives in France.

He explores the relation between photography and sculpture. With their iron framework, small sized photographs create a "construction", a mosaïc or a stained-glass in progress, and by assembling them it creates a wall or a large "drawing". When they are assembled on the floor or in the space, the photograph introduce a hollow, a respiration.
