Born in 1956.

His work proceeds by series (Troubled land is the best known in France) within which Paul Graham explores a particular relationship between signs, which constitutes the enigma, the " cipher " of the situation: for example, in a peaceful Irish landscape, the marks of a civil war which is ravaging the country.

Here, in the TV Portraits, the portraits of men and women watching television. The latter, absent from the image, is only indicated by the looks and postures. There is nothing in the image to prove that this is the case. The truth, in any case, is nowhere in particular. It is in this or that reading that we make of the signs.
