Salvatore Puglia

He uses images on the margins of the photographic medium: X-ray photographs, old anonymous images enlarged, to which he associates signs and multiple traces (writing, musical scores) by transparency and superposition. These images are set in metal frames and arranged in large groups or "columns". His work is haunted by the subtle interplay of memory and oblivion, the impossible demand of commemoration.
