Born in 1953.
A series of recent works, the "Histoires vraies" series, which consist in large format photographs placed on the floor (170 x 100), topped by a text hung on the wall that tells a particular story. Sophie Calle explores an autobiographical dimension at its limits of hexhibitionism and voyeurism. She defines herself as a "narrative artist", on the borders of art and life.
