Valérie Jouve

Born in 1964 in Saint Etienne (France), she lives and works in Paris.

Valérie Jouve's "images" (as she calls her photographs) bear witness to two realities: they speak of humans on the one hand, and their living environment on the other, or how, in what forms, architecture imposes itself as the organisation of their society. These "images" sometimes show isolated characters, immersed in an architecture and seized as if by effraction in their intimacy as living beings, sometimes deserted urban landscapes within which these characters have undoubtedly evolved.
