Vanessa Beecroft

Born in 1969 in Genoa (Italy), he lives between Milan (Italy) and New York (USA).

Vanessa Beercoft's work on the double is based on performances in which she stages "cloned" young women all wearing the same wigs and dressed in the same way. They are real living sculptures, disturbing because of their similarity. The results of these one-night performances are shown on video and in Polaroids.
