Boris Achour

Born in 1966 in Marseille (France), he lives and works in Paris.
Since 1993, Boris Achour has been discreetly disrupting the public space with his Actions-peu. For the Printemps de Cahors, he created the work mmmmmm (2000), a sound installation inspired by commercial street animations, surprising passers-by with variety songs spoken by a stutterer with a jerky elocution: a form of resistance to the innumerable media vois-off. This work is reproduced on a 3000-copy audio CD and included in the exhibition catalogue.
