Maria Marshall presents another video at the House Henri IV.

Born in 1966 in Bombay, India, she lives and works in London.

Maria Marshall's work, born of sculptural research, has recently developed through large-scale video projections - which have met with great success in the United States - created from a childlike universe often troubled by threats and risks, whose ambiguity provokes in the viewer an uneasiness doubled with fascination.

Physical experiments are essential elements of the two pieces shown at the Printemps de Cahors for the first time in Europe: Put medication in his Pocket (1999) and When I grow up I want to be a Cooker (1998), which confront two images of a child worked on a computer, ingesting an oyster or (virtually) inhaling cigarette smoke.
