Born in Tokyo, she lives and works there.

Yoshiko Seino started photography in 1994 and made a series of photographs for "Comme des Garçons" in Tokyo in 1996. Her landscapes, such as the Emotional Imprintings, paradoxically establish an intimate and subtle dimension, through views of foliage, abandoned objects, blooming flowers, melted snow, which are part of the Japanese landscape tradition. However, Seino avoids stereotypes with his landscapes, which, with discreet signs of the fragility of the elements, move away from a romantic vision of a countryside located on the edge of the great metropolis, while revealing a keen sense of the materiality and sculptural potential of the natural world.

Yoshiko Seino is exhibiting for the first time at Printemps de Cahors a set of twenty recent photographs.
