Anna Gaskell

Exhibition — Couvent des Jacobins

Born in 1969 in Iowa (USA), she lives and works in New York.

Anna Gaskell uses photography, film and drawing to investigate the idea and mystique of narrative. Her work explores a realm between the real and the imaginary. Following her critically acclaimed film Floater and photographic series Wonder, Override and Proxy in the late 1990s, she has deepened and expanded her highly personal vision of the world of women.

In Toulouse, Anna Gaskell is exhibiting the Building Olympia series of photographs for the first time in France and is also presenting her latest film.

Coproduced by the Centre National des Arts Plastiques, Paris.
