Born in Sweden in 1965, he lives and works in Stockholm.
Ulf Lundin's two videos Station (1997) and Bless You (1999) show people in a state of confusion. At the main station in Gothenburg, Ulf Ludin has photographed travellers waiting for their train. They are taken aback by his gaze, in a country where people avoid looking each other in the eye. This droll chronicle of provincial life, mocking and disconcerting, was perhaps the necessary prelude to Bless You, where the artist asked friends to sneeze for the camera. He reveals this somewhat secret aspect of our physiology in a joyful nod to the notion of privacy.
This work is presented for the first time in France.
