Born in 1975 in Bourges (France), he lives in Rouen (France).

For the past four years Charles Fréger has beenphotographing groups of young people and teenagers with a great deal of sensibility and rigour. From the Majorettes of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region to the pupils at a catholic school in Norwich, England, by way of the young waterpolo players, Fréger's series seem to be part of a much broader project, with features which underscore the coherence of the project : reiteration, uniformity and control.

For the festival, the artists presents one of his most impressive series, Légionnaires (2000-2002), portraits of young legionnaires and sappers.
