House Hunting (1999-2001) is the best-known work by this artist who has devoted more than four years to photographing the night life of suburban neighbourhood in certain American cities, but without their residents. It is precisely the indoor life of homes and the possible narratives that you can imagine on the basis of the lights and shadows which fill them that fascinate this photographer. In these pictures, the house comes across not only like a symbol of protection, and a hub of our well-being, but also like a den full of our fears and defections.
