installation vidéo, 20'

Born in 1969 in Beijing, he lives there.

This artist is intrigued by his own city, and uses the video camera as an instrument for recording the constant busyness, movement and chaos of this huge metropolis. To this effect, he sets up his camera in unlikely and complicated places, thus challenging the conventional ways they are generally used.

In the form of visual fragments and in three sequential projections, the video installation Passage (2001) shows urban scenes in a city - it could realy be any city - from thoroughly unusual outlooks and angles.
