While Asier Mendizabal and Iñaki Garmendia both have their own careers, the two artists have worked together on a documentary video. Entitled Goierri Konpeti (2002), it takes an almost anthropological look at the life of a group of young people united by their passion for rally cars. The two artists lived with the group, sharing in its activities long enough for the camera to be forgotten. Goierri Konpeti, the name the group chose for itself, is a rural but industrial town in the Basque Country, made up of communities scattered around bigger urban centres. The relations between these young people and the codes governing them come across as part of the landscape, which in turn conditions and contextualises their behaviour in a process of feedback that gives the narrative its meaning.
