Born 1966 in Boston (USA), he lives in New York

Josiah McElheny trained intensively with master glass blowers in Europe and the United States. His recent work on the mirror theme involves the creation of physical objects but also renews our metaphorical and symbolic relation to the image. A genuine window onto the world and onto ourselves, the mirror questions the very nature of the phenomenon of reflection and the origin of the image.

At Les Abattoirs – Musée Frac Occitanie Toulouse Josiah McElheny is presenting a set of recent works with mirrors, one of them has been made specially for the occasion.

Produced by La Banque de Neuflize, Paris.
