Wherever I'm going, I am already there makes a wager about an elsewhere under our very eyes, a disorientation and un unfamiliarity constructed with mainly Swiss artists, with whose work Christian Bernard is very well acquainted, who will present in Toulouse the outcome of a long-term dialogue, using works created for the occasion.

The project devised for the 2008 festival, which is impervious to the jerks and jolts currently shaking the art world, comes up with a more fundamental research, an ambitious development strategy conceived in conjunction with most of those involved in the contemporary scene in Toulouse and roundabout. While the Nomadic Nightsof the Cartier Fondationintroduce new collaborations with the Siestes Electroniques and the La Chatte à la Voisine association,  the festival's traditional venues are being broadened this year to include private galleries (GHP, Kandler, Sollertis, Jacques Girard and Le Confort des Etranges), associative premises and art centres ( bbb centre régional d'initiatives pour l'art contemporain, Lieu Commun) in Toulouse, and, in the region, the participation of the Ateliers des Arques, the LAIT art centre in Castres and Le Parvis in Tarbes.

Our thanks go to all those (artists, cultural coordinators, patrons, partners...) who have helped in this huge project which, by increasing the number of exhibition sites from eight to twenty-three, with close on twenty-five events being put on as part of the Nomadic Nights, makes the 2008 Printemps de Septembre the first version of an event that is one of a kind.
