Michaël Quistrebert

Born in 1976 in Nantes (France), he lives there.

Since 2002, the Nantes-based duo has been producing a body of polymorphous work combining drawings, bronze sculptures and paintings, in the service of a singular mythology sprinkled with references to the history of art.

With Piercing the Psychic Heart, the Quistrebert brothers take over the basement of the Fondation espace écureuil in the manner of a crypt in which they weave their phantasmagorical universe mixing pop-rock culture, romantic painting, gothic imagery, decadence and fantastic literature.
