Born in 1939 in Florence.
Lives between Florence and Germany.
At night a blue neon phrase will be readable on the façade of the EDF-Bazacle building evoking the flow of the Garonne.
Embarking in the 1960s on a vast research programme involving the relations between language, imagery, and reality, it is through a cross-disciplinary body of work (performance, video, photography, music and writing) that Maurizio Nannucci questions meanings and representations. His works which combine writing and neon are part of this line of thought and produce an interaction with architecture. Maurizio Nannucci is very interested in writing, and has founded the Zona publishing house.
A co-production between Le Printemps de Septembre—à Toulouse and the Fondation EDF Diversiterre.
