Born in 1961, she lives in Geneva.

Famous for her works taken directly from the world of fashion and luxury, and for her glamour and lipstick treatment of Pop Art, Sylvie Fleury plays with codes and highlights the generalized customization of the self in our contemporary society. Like her most obvious message, “Yes to all”, the title of one of her shows at the Ropac gallery—yes to furs and tire tracks, yes to chromotherapy and sci-fi.

Taken from her show at the Mamco, Paillettes et Dépendances ou la fascination du néant (Sequins and Dependencies or the Fascination of Oblivion), a selection of her object-sculptures will be exhibited amongst the permanent collection at the Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle.
