Born in 1969, he lives and works in Zagreb (Croatia).

He produces anonymous interventions in public places which are often controversial and cast a both critical and poetic eye on contemporary political and social movements. Between 2006 and 2008, for example, he developed the famous East Side Story project with reference to the violence committed against sexual minorities during the Gay Pride events in Belgrade (2001) and then Zagreb (2002). His work has been presented in many French and international institutions: the Istanbul Biennial, the Tirana Biennial, the Center for Contemporary arts at Celje, Cooper Union NYC, FIAC 2012, Friche belle de mai/Marseille 2013, Palais de Tokyo, Tate, etc.

Accompanied by a group of art students from the Institut supérieur des arts de Toulouse, Igor Grubić will organize a procession from the Hôtel-Dieu to the School, as a response to the violence experienced in recent months in Ukraine.

The artist winds up the procession with an intervention in the isdaT.
