Née en 1991 in Lyon (France).

Fascinated by characters she herself cannot be, Louise Mariotte undertakes an investigation, based on real facts and fictional clues, about the British poet and boxer Arthur Cravan. In the form of short stories, she narrates the different hypotheses put forward about his life in certain books (Jean Yves Jouannais, Artistes sans oeuvres, Leon Trotsky, My Life…). Regarded by both  the Dadaists and the Surrealists as one of the forerunners of their movements, Arther Cravan often caused scandals, and his death is still murky (he apparently drowned in Mexico).

The artist will present a certain number of real facts and fictional clues all organized in a treasure hunt which might shed light on the Cravan mystery.

Louise Mariotte is studenting at the Institut supérieur des arts of Toulouse.
