LES SIESTES ÉLECTRONIQUES PRESENTS:

Raphael belongs to that new generation of DJs inspired by an erudite German electronic scene, but one that is already almost backward-looking (DJ Koze, Prosumer, Isolée). By tracing the geneaology of electronic music against the grain, from an immediate past to the heroic time of the birth of house and techno, Raphaël has managed to bring out a clear editorial line which is free of overly distinct aesthetic strings. Like his more illustrious predecessors (before everyone was pushing the Traktor Sync button), Raphaël weaves emotional and subliminal links between the disks played, which thus form a dense organic whole.
