Project based on the play BleuBleu by Stéphane Arcas new work

Associate curator: Manuel Pomar

The Bleu Bleu project (named after the legendary bar in Toulouse frequented by the young artists evoked in the play of the same name) results from the never-filmed adaptation of a short story that became a play. The exhibition Bleu Bleu borrows the play’s set and some of its texts. It is in this peeling student flat that emblematic works from the 1990s borrowed from regional art collections (FRACs) will be hung. These historic pieces will show alongside other works made by a selection of young graduates from isdaT and EBABX. Members of the 330+1 collective will reactivate certain pieces from the period. A protean project with multiple authors, but above all a text that became a play and then an exhibition, a certain relation to youth and to the upheavals of our world – it all adds up to a way of taking hold of the present while taking nourishment from the fiction of a past with an aftertaste of reality.
