Born in 1969 in Barquisimeto (Venezuela), he lives in Caracas (Spain) and Madrid.

In most of his work Alexander Apóstol questions the stereotypes and prejudices surrounding representations of Latin American men. In this project, What I’m looking for (2002), he looks at the way in which Latin American homosexual men in different social classes and geographical regions aspire to improve their quality of life. They use Internet as a tool for pursuing their dreams as they search for the ideal model of the European male, in the hope that he might offer them a form of relationship that is not based exclusively on sex.
