Born in 1971 in Chamalières (France), she lives in Paris.

Some artists today choose to intervene in their surroundings with actions that are barely visible, and yet whose critical burden is no less for all that. This is the case with the work presented by Anne Brégeaut: it requires a curious, attentive gaze and works on the immediate environment.

The artist has made a series of “Souvenir Balls” which will be placed in the windows of souvenir shops during the festival. Similar at first glance to the objects found in all tourist sites, these objects are unusual in that all they give us is synthetic snow falling on cards stating names of places that no longer exist, or that have undergone major changes for ecological, historical or geopolitical reasons: the Dinetha, the mythical place of origin for the Navajo Indians; the Aral Sea; Palestine; Tibet; Yugoslavia, the USSR.
