Born in 1966 in La Tronche (France), he lives in Reykjavik (Iceland).
The work of Serge Comte, a multimedia and protean artist, is based on the question of the flow and status of images. His practice consists in giving a body, a flesh, an experience to the images that he extracts most often from the computer tool, from virtuality and from proliferation. His work is populated with figures, characters, self-portraits, names, in other words, a host of representations whose mission is to inhabit and re-enchant the world.
Invited to take over the Maison éclusière, at the junction of the Canal du Midi and the Garonne, Serge Comte reinvests the place by giving life to a whole corpus of visual and sound images that he uses in different ways and techniques.
