Born in 1974 in Paris, he lives and works in Château-Thierry and Paris.

Sophie Dubosc activates forms and materials that are marked by time. She thus gives a patina to these sculptures with an authentic varnish of reality, directly affecting memory and feelings. Whether they are captured in concrete or plaster, or awash in sump oil, Indian ink or tea, her prisoner-like pieces seem to shout their desire to escape. The assemblage of forms and textures creates a stagnant atmosphere which blurs the outlines of a didactic approach, to urge an intuitive understanding of forms. Because while these works refer to the artist's private experience, and to precise going-ons in History, they nevertheless summon up a collective word which reverberates in each one of us. Sophie Dubosc's art is definitely on the side of memory as it sets up the backdrop for a delicate poetic.
