Born in Barcelona in 1962. He lives and works in Barcelona and Paris.

Le Pavillon Blanc - Centre d’Art de Colomiers is responding to the project put forward by le Printemps de septembre, now the Festival international d’art de Toulouse, by inviting a major figure on the European art scene, Jordi Colomer, to take over its exhibition space.

This Spanish artist also trained as an architect and art historian is known for his exploration of urban ideas and utopias. Characterised by a strong sculptural sense, his work takes in multiple disciplines and especially photography and video, which he stages in the exhibition space.

In Colomiers he is presenting a specially conceived project, L’Avenir, inspired by Charles Fourier’s Phalanstère, an architectural and social utopia that was never tried in reality, embodying the links between politics, fiction and architecture, which so interest this artist. L'Avenir is a projection of possibilities, the video narrative of an adventure.

Exhibition co-programmed and coproduced with Toulouse International Art Festival/Printemps de septembre
