Pieter de Buysser, a Flemish author and peerless storyteller, writes for the theatre, and publishes short stories and essays combining art and philosophy. An heir to the Belgian tradition of the grotesque and the surreal, his writing unites humour, poetry and a sense of tragedy. Since 2009 he has been creating his own performances, and in 2012 he worked with artist Hans Op de Beeck on the show Book Burning.
Le Printemps de septembre has invited Pieter de Buysser to devise a new performance in close relation to the installation by his friend Hans Op de Beeck at the Couvent des Jacobins.
