For this edition of Le Printemps de septembre, Nina Childress presents an exhibition at the Musée Paul-Dupuy, Béatrice Cussol at the Médiathèque des Abattoirs and Élodie Lesourd at Lieu-Commun.

Nina Childress, Béatrice Cussol and Elodie Lesourd were presented in the exhibitions Peindre, dit-elle (Musée départemental d’art contemporain de Rochechouart, 2015), and Peindre, dit-elle [Chap. 2] (Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dole, 2018). The project which at first featured 19 and then 40 artworks by female artists gave rise to debates.

The project organizers Julie Crenn and Annabelle Ténèze had foreseen a feminist approach, but these exhibi- tions testified from the outset to the current vitality of French painters. What conclusion do the three artists draw from this experience? Each of them will also present a monographic exhibition during this year’s edition of le Printemps de septembre.
